Margaret Hayden

Margaret Ann Hayden (nee Donahue), age 92, of Frederick, died Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Tranquillity at Fredericktowne in Frederick, MD. She was born November 1, 1919 in Washington, DC, the daughter of the late James Donahue and the late Hazel Arnette Donahue. She worked for Montgomery County Health Department in the area of Child Health and Mental health as a Social worker. She also worked for Montgomery County Library. She was an accomplished artist, painting in the Japanese tradition, enjoyed friends, travel, volunteered at the Delaplaine Center in Frederick, MD, and working in her church. She was the wife of the late Gregory James Hayden. She was the mother of Carol Ann Turner and Michael Bresnahan. Also survived by 5 grandsons, 3 Granddaughters and2 great- grandsons and 1 Great-granddaughter. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Grace Episcopal Church, 5740 Green Valley Road, New Market, MD 21774 with the Rev. Tim Kroh officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery with her predeceased husband, Gregory. Memorial Contributions can be made to: Grace Episcopal Church in New Market or to Mission VA.
