Maribeth Ann Norrod, 52, of Mt. Airy, Maryland, peacefully passed away on May 25th ,2018, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born Maribeth Wilson, on March 26th, 1966, she is the daughter of Leroy S Wilson and Nancy A Wilson of Jamestown, New York.

Maribeth was a graduate of Empire State College where she earned a bachelor degree in Human Services. Last employed by Service Coordination, Inc of Frederick, MD, she specialized in providing case management services to people with disabilities. Maribeth provided these services above and beyond her expected duties, and with unbelievable compassion.

Maribeth was very passionate and active in young women’s outreach and recovery within the community. She was a strong woman of faith who lived what she preached. She was always smiling and lifting up others with encouragement and affirmations, even in her own dark days of incredible pain and suffering.

Maribeth is survived by her parents, LeRoy and Nancy Wilson of Jamestown, NY, a brother: Randy Wilson (Polly) of Bristol, Vt; husband: Brent Norrod of Mt. Airy, Md; daughters: Latisha Royal of SC, Andra Hodnett (Chad tenPas) of Rochester, NY, Nicy Hodnett of Mt. Airy, MD; Granddaughters; Nasha Royal, Areonna Royal, LeeAndra Gilbert, Nicerra Royal, and great-grandson: Forever Michel

Maribeth is leaving a huge legacy, touching countless lives, was truly loved by everyone that knew her.

At this writing, a Memorial and celebration of her Life has already taken place in Mt. Airy, MD. Another Memorial with interment of Ashes will be held in Jamestown, NY. This will be sometime in July.
