Marie Caputo

Marie Ferrante Caputo, 84 of Woodbine, MD passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022.
She was the loving partner of Harvey Kratz.
Marie was born July 20, 1938, in Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late Vincent Ferrante and the late Mary Ferrante (nee DeNoia).
She retired as a claim processor for CAC and from Safeway Inc. After retirement, Marie went to work for Howard County Public Schools as a Lunch and Recess Monitor, where she showed love, kindness and care to many students who came to know her as Grandma Marie. She had a passion for doing stained glass artwork, gardening, and flower arrangements. Many lucky friends and family still have one of her handmade stepping stones in their yard or garden. Marie also had a deep love for Big Band music and swing dancing. She would jokingly say that she would come back in her next life as a professional dancer and be able to wear the beautiful outfits that her strict Italian parents would never allow.
Surviving, in addition to her partner, are her daughters Connie Caputo-Belcher and husband Steven Belcher, and April Snyder and husband Steven Snyder. She was the sister of Sarah Arianna and Vito Ferrante, and his wife Sally. Marie is also survived by her grandchildren Candace, Gregory, Cristina, Carly, Nicholas, Lucas and great-grandson Justice Giovanni.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Gina Cumberland.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 3 PM at St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Community, 4103 Prices Distillery Road Ijamsville, MD 21754.
