Mark Eugene Culwell, age 73, of Mt. Airy, died Monday, January 16, 2017 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD.
He was born May 4, 1943 in Washington, DC, the son of the late William Burk Culwell and the late Margaret Eugenia Warfield Culwell.
He was the husband of Faye Farver Culwell; father of Matthew Culwell and wife Margaret, brother of Carol Culwell, Frances Culwell, and the late Paul Culwell, Late John Culwell, Late Jane Culwell and the late Cathy Culwell, grandfather of Nick Culwell, Ben Culwell, and Steven Culwell; sister in laws Jane Farver and Linda Farver.
Mark served in the US Marine Corp. from 1963-1967; worked for Montgomery County Police Communications as a Dispatcher from 1968-1998; enjoyed golf.
Gathering of family and friends will be Monday, January 23, 2017 at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD 21784 from 4-7 PM; with a Remembrance at 7PM.; Private inurnment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Company. C/O Ambulance Fund, 702 N. Main Street, Mt. Airy, MD 21771 and or Favorite Charity of Choice.
