Mary Ebaugh
May 13, 1940 — July 27, 2024
Mary “Nell” (Archibald) Ebaugh of Mount Airy, Maryland went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday July 27th. She was 84 years old.
Born May 13th, 1940, to Bryan and Jane Archibald in Brockton, Massachusetts. She grew up 1 of 4 children as a preacher’s daughter. She graduated from BCC in Bethesda, Maryland and went onto the University of Maryland.
Nell loved music, writing poems, Bible study, gardening, sewing, cross stich, her friends and family and most of all Jesus. Her heart’s desire was to bring others to know Christ.
She founded the O.W.L.S.(Older Wiser Loving Servants) group of Mount Airy Bible Church and organized many outings and fellowships. She belonged to Community Bible Study (CBS), meeting many lifetime friends and she sang in the National Christian Choir.
Nell was preceded in death by her parents, (sister) Sally Hawthorne and Les Frasier(brother-in-law). Nell is survived by her sister Nancy Fraser, brother Arthur Archibald (Linda) , four daughters Julie McDonald (Dave), Jennifer Ebaugh, Kay Braden (Ken) and Amy Ebaugh. Six grandchildren: T. Michael Rollins (Helen), Jeffery Rollins (Hope), Bradley Braden (Mariah), Emily Auxt (Tim), Matthew Braden (Laura) and William Braden (Colleen). She has six great grandchildren: Kylie Rollins, Jacob Rollins, Paige Rollins, Gavin Rollins, Camden Rollins and Cole Auxt.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 31st at Mt. Airy Bible Church. We will be receiving guests at 12:00 pm and the service is at 1:30pm, followed by light refreshments.
