Mary Catherine Farver (nee Gartrell), age 85, of Westminster, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Bethania Home Care in Westminster, MD.
She was born December 5, 1927 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late Amos Riley Gartrell and the late Carrie Ruth (Hess) Dombroski.
She was a housewife. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and her family.
She was the wife of the late Orlando R. “Dimp” Farver.
She was the mother of Erma C. Brown of Union Bridge and Steve O. Farver and wife Debra of Mt. Airy; also survived by 3 grandchildren- Angela Arnold and husband Edward, Jeff Farver and wife Lindy and Ronald Brown, Jr. and 5 great grandchildren-Nathan Brown, Ryan, Kyle, Evan and Mason Arnold; predeceased by son in law Ronnie Brown.
Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville (Beside South Carroll High School) on Sunday from 2-6PM; where funeral service will be held Monday, September 30, 2013 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Paul Leatherman of Sam’s Creek Church of the Brethren officiating.
Interment Taylorsville U.M. Church Cemetery, Taylorsville, MD.
