Mary Hatfield

Mary Elizabeth Hatfield 77, of Sykesville, died Thursday February 25, 2010 at Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster, MD. She was born September 25, 1932 in Woodbine, MD the daughter of the late William and late Pearl Crabb Duvall. She was the wife of the late Gilbert Eugene Hatfield. In her early years she worked at the canning factory in Woodbine. Late in life she worked at a Laundromat. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed visiting with family, eating out and when she was in better health gardening and going to yard sales. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Betty and Charles Colson of Sykesville who she lived with, Son Stanley Hatfield of Sykesville, Sons and daughter-in-law Gilbert and Linda Hatfield of Sykesville, William “ Billy” and Sharon Duvall of Westminster and Sam and Barbara Duvall of Westminster, 8 Grandchildren: Christy, Chris, Kenny, Jason, Betty, Gilbert, Michael and Johnahan and 4 Great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by brothers Calvin Duvall, Harry Duvall and Howard Duvall and sisters Rosie Smith, Betty Haines and Pauline Colson. Funeral Services will be held on Monday March 1, 2010 11 :00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the Rev. William Phebus of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Morgan Chapel Cemetery, Woodbine, MD. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
