Mary Velma Hill, 93, of Westminster, MD, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024. She was a resident of Sun Valley at Ridge Overlook.
She was the wife of the late Norman Dorsey Hill, with whom she co-founded and co-owned N.H. Cattle Company in Daisy, MD. They were married 39 years before his death in 2023.
She was born May 30, 1931, in Nutter Fort, WV, to Sam LeRoy and Elizabeth Gerard LeRoy.
She worked for the Clerk's Office, Circuit Court for Howard County, until her retirement.
Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, playing the piano, and singing. She was active in local church choirs.
She is survived by her son, Edmund Lott; granddaughter Anna Meushaw and husband Cody; grandson James Lott; great-grandchildren Cadence and Lincoln Meushaw; step/bonus daughter Marsha Dorsey and husband, Mike; step-grandson Tim Dorsey and wife Stephanie; step-granddaughter Melissa Morris and husband Mike; and step-great-grandchildren Tanner and TJ Dorsey, and Morgan, Owen, and Mia Morris.
The family wishes to thank the staffs at Sun Valley at Ridge Overlook and at Bridging Life Hospice for the excellent care provided to her.
