Mary Purdum

Mary Catherine Purdum (nee Condon), 80 of Mt. Airy died, Tues May 30, 2006 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster . She was the spouse of the late Calvin Kelly “Jiggs” Purdum. She was born September 5, 1925 in Woodbine, the daughter of the late Harry Summerville Condon and the late Amelia Catherine Porter Condon. She retired from the Woodbine Postal Service where she was a clerk for 20 years. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and a lifelong member of the Lisbon Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are daughter & son-in-law Sue Ann & Ronald Johnson of Woodbine and son & daughter-in-law Daniel & Virginia Purdum of Glen Burnie . Also survived by grandchildren: Michael Purdum of Glen Burnie , Amy Mullinix of Woodbine, Kevin Johnson of Sykesville and great-grandchildren Caleigh Mullinix and Austin Johnson. Funeral Services will held on Friday June 2, 2006 at 10 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School). Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park , Sykesville. Friends may call at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Lisbon Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 40 , Lisbon , MD 21765 .
