Max Cobb, 78 of Mt. Airy, died Friday September 26, 2014 at the Dove House in Westminster surrounded by his loving family; after a heroic battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Born November 23, 1935 in Knox County, KY, he was the son of the late David Grant Cobb and the late Mary (Gilbert) Cobb, and was the husband of his loving wife of 53 years, Reacie Cobb. He served in the US Army and retired from the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn, MD in 1995.
He is also survived by his daughter Donna Cobb of Hampstead, daughter Kelly Sabol and husband Jeff of Woodsboro. Granddaughters Brittany and Emily Sabol of Woodsboro, Grandson Jeffrey Sabol and wife Sarah, of North Carolina, along with his great-granddaughter Hunter Sabol of North Carolina; Sisters Nell Morrison, Glen Burnie, Elta Lee Cobb, Louisville, KY and Mattie Ruth Young, TN; Brothers John and Wade Cobb of Louisville, KY He is predeceased by sisters Stella Hacker, Rhoda Gilbert, Delida Cropper, Susie Cobb and twin sister Maxine Cobb.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, PA (Beside S. Carroll High) 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd.
