December 3, 1959 — January 2, 2016
Michael John Gerjets, 56 of Mt. Airy, MD
Without warning on January 2, 2016, the light in the world dimmed a bit with the passing of Mike.
He leaves behind to remember and cherish him always the great loves of his life, both 2 and 4-legged…David, Dan-e-al, Nana, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Maria, Nicky, Chrissy, Maxie, The Baby, Mason, Silas and of course, Blondie. As well, he will be missed by scores of baseball players in Yakima, WA and Carroll County, MD who were hopefully inspired by Coach Gerjets and his love of the game. His loss is also deeply felt by his brothers- John and Dan – sister Patty and their families. He was predeceased by his mother, Lexie, step-father, Marvin, and sister, Barb. If so desired, please make a contribution in his memory to the American Legion baseball program of your choice, Tails of Hope, or the Best Friends Animal Society. A Celebration of Life service will be held in the spring.
