Michael “Mike” Hunter Stem, Sr., 83 of Westminster, MD passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at home.
He was the spouse of 17 years to the late Carolyn Stem (nee Davis).
Mr. Stem was born October 21, 1941, in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late Aubrey Joseph Stem Jr. and the late Edith Stem (nee Case).
Mike was a CO-owner with his wife of Aunt Kitty’s Mini Storage in Winfield. He and Carolyn were avid golfers and loved playing golf and spending time with many friends. Mike was a longtime member of Piney Branch Golf Club and a charter member of the Elks #2277.
He is survived by his sister Susan M. Strawburg & husband Steve; nephew Richard Stem, Jr., stepson Andy Liebno, stepdaughter Wendi Driver and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
In his final years, Mike was graced with the loving companionship of Sandy Yingling.
Preceded in death by his siblings Aubrey Joseph Stem, III, Richard Stem, Sr., Thomas V. Stem and Paul C. Stem.
The Family will receive friends on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 2 to 5 PM and 7 to 8 PM when Services will be held at 8 PM, at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 W.
