Mildred Marsh

Mildred Mae Marsh, 88 of Mt. Airy, Formerly of Port Charlotte, FL, died Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. She was the spouse of the late John C. Marsh who died in 1969. She was born March 19, 1918 in Pomeroy, OH, the daughter of the late Lenora Eynon Smith and the late Frank Smith. She and her husband moved from Steubenville , OH to Florida in 1964. She was a travel agent with Charlotte Travel in Port Charlotte , FL before retirement. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Steubenville , OH . She was a member of Port Charlotte Presbyterian Church and since moving to MD attended Taylorsville United Methodist Church . She enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting and reading. Mrs. Marsh is survived by Daughter and son-in-law Carol and David Blackburn of Mt. Airy , MD , 3 Grandchildren: John and wife Kim of Haymarket, VA, Elaine Rachal of Houston , TX and April Blackburn of Baltimore . 3 Great-grandchildren; Jacquie Rachal of Houston, TX and Austin and Carson Blackburn of Haymarket, Son-in-law: John Jenkins and wife Sarah Ann of Port Charlotte, 2 nephews; George Smith and Marlin Evans and 1 niece; Marsha Frecker. Mrs. Marsh was preceded in death by Daughter; Kathryn Jenkins and 2 sisters; Ada Evans. Memorial Services will be held Friday April 28, 2006 11:00 AM at Taylorsville United Methodist Church, 4356 Ridge Rd. Mount Airy, MD 21771. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Taylorsville United Methodist Church.
