Mildred A. Shaw (nee Matalonis), age 84, of Mt. Airy, formerly of New Carrollton, MD and Plymouth, PA., died Thursday, June 15, 2017 at her home.
She was born December 23, 1932 in Plymouth, PA., the daughter of the late Anthony Matalonis and the late Mildred Abromavage Matalonis.
She was the wife of Charles J. Shaw.
She was a housewife. She was a waitress at SPA Restaurant, Wilkes-Barre, PA, Childcare, New Carrollton, MD, Hospital Volunteer at Prince George Hospital Center, attended St. Mary’s Church in Hyattsville and St. Peters Church in Liberytown.
She was the mother of Mildred Ann Bahnsen and husband Kurt of Mt. Airy, Charles Shaw and wife Jodi of Columbia, MD, Jacqueline Ries and husband Carl of Bowie, MD, grandmother of Matthew Bahnsen, Lauren Bahnsen, Tyler Shaw and Charles J. Shaw.
Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School) on Sunday, June 18, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 PM with Rosary Service at 4:00 PM.
