Milton F. Hunter, age 86, of Mt. Airy, MD, died November 7, 2014, at the Carroll Hospice, Inc.-Dove House in Westminster, MD.
He was born August 26, 1928 in Frederick County, Maryland, the son of the late Francis M. “Frank” Hunter and the late Barbara Virginia Poole Hunter.
He was a Dairy Farmer. He was a Life member of the Carroll County Farm Museum and a Member of the Farm Bureau, and member of Christian Farmers. He a member for 27 years, November 18, 1987 to Present and past president of the Mt. Airy Kiwanis Club; member of Loyal Order Moose Westminster Lodge #1381, and member of Mt. Airy Historical Society and past President and VP of the Carroll County AARP chapter.
He was the husband of Shirley Pyles Hunter for 18 years and the late Imogene Rose Hunter.
He was the father of Barbara Elizabeth Tremper of Westminster and grandfather of Raymond, Alan and Mark. Also survived by Shirley’s children-Patricia Deal and husband Larry Rupp of West River, MD and Lois Kay Fink and husband David of Berkley Springs, West Virginia.

Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville (Beside South Carroll High School) on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM where Funeral Services will be held on November 12, 2014 at 11 AM with Rev. Arthur Monroe officiating.
