Myrt Coghill

Myrt M. Coghill (nee Shelton), age 79, of Sykesville, died Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. She was born January 19, 1933 in Brownstown, Indiana the daughter of the late Charles Eli Shelton and the late Mary E. Shelton (nee Fleenor). She was the wife of Roy Coghill of Sykesville. She was a cosmetologist for 30 years working for Johan, Renee’s and retiring in 1998 from Woodbrook Hair Design. She was a member of Zion Methodist Church in Shipley. She enjoyed playing cards, working with Flowers, needlepoint and spending time with her family. Survived by her children; Grace and Jack Poole, Joanie and Jerry Dunn, Christina Levinson, Andrew and Valerie Humen, David Humen and partner John Kane, Thomas Humen and a step daughter Linda Jean Lee. Also survived by 1 sister and 2 brothers and several grandchildren and several great grandchildren, preceded in death by daughter Karen Lingo and grandson James Hearn and 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM; where funeral service will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Richard Shamer officiating. Interment Zion U. M. Church Cemetery, Shipley, MD.
