Nancy Stine

Nancy J. Reck Stine, age 79, of Mt. Airy, MD, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Frederick, MD. She was born December 4, 1932 in Mt. Airy, MD, the daughter of the late Ralph Reck and the late Lillian B. Grimes Reck. She was a customer representative for B & A Publishing Company in Washington, DC; and also worked in the banking business for First National Bank of Mt. Airy and various other banks. She was a member of Locust Grove Church of the Brethren in Mt. Airy. She loved Cats and pets. She was the wife of Richard H. Stine. She was the mother of Shaun D. Stine and wife Kelly of Tokyo, Japan. Also survived by granddaughters Katherine Anne Garten of Williamsburg, VA, and Margaret Louise Garten of Shacklefords, VA and great-grandchildren Anton Stanislav Vorotnev of Williamsburg, VA and McKenzie Marie Hughes of Shacklefords, VA, sister Janet E. Wunderlich of Fallston, brother Jerry D. Reck of Thurmont and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother William R. Reck and a sister Doris I Saunders. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Monday from 10-11:00 AM at Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, 13356 Glissans Mill Road, Mt. Airy, at which time funeral service will begin at 11:00 at the church, with Pastor Wayne Hall and Pastor Wallace “Bud” Lusk officiating. Interment Locust Grove Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to favorite charity of choice or Locust Grove Church of the Brethren or the American Cancer Society.
