Nelson Carr Mathews, age 81 of Granite, died Tuesday October 13, 2015, at Northwest Hospital Center in Randallstown, MD.
He was born March 16, 1934, in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Isadore Carr and Mildred Marie (Wright) Mathews. He was the Owner & Operator of Loeblein Memorials
He was the husband of Joan (Mann) Mathews.
He is survived by his daughters Marcia & husband Bill Young of Millsboro, DE and Joyce & husband Lloyd Peugh of Granite, also survived by his step-daughters Jacki & husband Chuck Birmingham and Cindi & husband Phil Auginbaugh both of Westminster, MD. Nelson is also survived by numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife Doris Merkle Mathews, and his brothers Harry, Linwood and Milton Mathews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 3:00 to 5:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA. 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Granite Presbyterian Church 10637 Old Court Road, Woodstock, Maryland 21163 with Rev. Terrance Alspaugh officiating.
Interment will be at Granite Presbyterian Church.
