Norma Lee Dennis, 80 of Mt. Airy, MD
Died Friday, November 3, 2017 at home.
Beloved wife of the late David “Eddie” Dennis.
Born October 16, 1937 in Frederick MD the daughter of the late Norman E. And Dorothy “Roberts” Etzler.
She graduated in 1955 from Mt. Airy High School and received her Bachelor of Science from Western Maryland College in 1959. Mrs. Dennis then went on to be a Phys. Ed. Teacher for Francis Scott Key and Linganore High. Later she became treasurer and secretary of Mt. Airy Auto Parts until retiring in 2002. Upon her retirement in 2002 she discovered a love of travel, which she shared with her companion Horst Wolter. She was a sports enthusiast; enjoying golf , bowling, softball and watching the Orioles and Ravens. Norma Lee was a faithful member of Calvary UMC where she sang in the choir for nearly 50 years.
Devoted mother of Brian E. and wife Leslie Dennis of Mt. Airy, Stacey L and husband Vernon Ashway of Waynesboro, PA. Loving grandmother of Kelsey and Emily Dennis, Taryn Ashway and the late Kaelyn Ashway. Dear sister of the late Margaret Rodrigues. Also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and Companion Horst Wolter of Mt. Airy
