He was the spouse of 66 years to Dorothy M. (Morgan) Becraft. He was born September 16, 1929 in Woodbine, MD the Son of the late Norman A. Becraft, Sr. and the late Pearl (Greene) V. Becraft.
Jake was the Founder and Previous owner of Woodbine Auto Repair and Woodbine Towing. He enjoyed NASCAR, Wrestling, Watching Joel Osteen, Dog sitting and spending time with all his daughters.
Surviving him in addition to his wife are Daughters Joyce Hawkins of New Martinsville, WV, Kathie and husband David Lauer of Daina Beach, FL, Jackie Hoover of Woodbine, Dorothy “Bess” and Robert “Chip” Bean of New Windsor, Grandchildren Josh and Adam Frey, Patricia Hayes, Aelisha Thompson, Tammy and Jesse Hawkins, Ashley Mulloy, Gennis Halmi, Garrett Bean, Nephew Brian Wolfe and numerous great and great-great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Daughter Laura Jean Frey.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday August 31, 2013 11 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784. The Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to Memorial Service.
