Olive Gassaway

Olive Gwendoline Gassaway (nee Whittingham), age 82, of Baltimore, died Wednesday November 26, 2008 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD. She was born September 25, 1926 in England, the daughter of the late John and Gladys (Dickens) Whittingham. She was a housewife. She was a member of the First Free Methodist Church, Baltimore. She was the wife of Samuel H. Gassaway for 53 years. She was the mother of Elsie States and Husband Forrest, and Debbie Monaghan and husband Brian. Grandmother of Kathleen States, Samuel States, Steven States, Samantha Monaghan and Morgan Monaghan. Sister of Elsie Zimmerman. Sister in law of Dorothy Whittingham and Mary C. Hanks. Preceded in death by brothers J. Howard Whittingham and Thomas Whittingham. Memorial Service will be held Saturday November 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM at First Free Methodist Church, 3441 Keswick Road, with the Rev. Darrold Phillips, Sr. and Rev. Forrest States.
