Patricia “Patti” Anne Nylin-Becker, 63, of Mt. Airy, MD passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the Dove House in Westminster, MD.
She was the beloved wife of Grant Becker for 35 years.
She was born March 25, 1961, in Washington, DC, the daughter of the late Robert Charles Nylin and the late Anne Marie Nylin (nee McDermott).
Patti was extremely artistic and enjoyed gardening, decorating & making cakes, oil painting, colored pencil artwork, making jewelry, stained glass and making floral arrangements. She had a deep love for all animals and there was never a stray animal that was turned away. Patti loved going to the beach and collecting seashells as well as traveling out west with her husband.
Patricia worked for the United States Postal Service.
Surviving in addition to her husband is her sister Terri Murray & husband Bob; father-in-law Gaither Becker & wife Betty; sister-in-law Robin Calambro & husband Phil & Kathy Hardesty & husband Keith; nieces & nephews Elizabeth Murray, Catherine Murray, Devin Connor & husband Matt, Chelsea Calambro, Matthew Hardesty & wife Natalie, Lindsay Chasen & husband Kyle and Kendall Hardesty. Also survived by life long friend Sherri Bartholow.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 6-8 PM and Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 11 AM to 12 Noon at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (beside South Carroll High School), where funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 12 Noon
Interment to follow at Freedom Cemetery
In lieu of Flowers memorial contributions may be made to Frisky’s wildlife and Primate Sanctuary, Operation smile, and Tunnel to Towers foundation.
