Born March 28, 1934, in Randallstown
The daughter of the late Wilbur Snyder and Mary Grace (Peach) Snyder.
Pat worked as a secretary for University of Maryland Hospital (Shock Trauma) and then for many years as a secretary and bookkeeper for ADCONS, Inc., but she often said her most fulfilling role was being a mother. Her two children are Mary Pat Turchi and Peter David Turchi. Pete and his wife, Laura (Beilfuss) Turchi, have a son, Reed Nicholas Turchi, Pat’s one grandchild.Also Survived by Sister Anita Snyder. She celebrated the news of Reed’s recent engagement to Kathleen Sharpe by writing and illustrating a poem for them.
Pat enjoyed golf and bowling and bridge. She was an Orioles fan and an avid gardener, with a particular fondness for roses. In her later years, she and Mary Pat kept most of Randallstown supplied with applesauce loaves.
Pat is also survived by her lifelong friend and aunt, Dorothy Kemp. Precdeded in death by brother Paul Snyder.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 5 to 8 pm at St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Church at 10800 Old Court Road in Woodstock, Maryland.
Funeral services (MASS) will take place Friday, October 7, 2016 at 10am, also at St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Church; Pat will be laid to rest at Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville. The graveside service will be followed by a reception at Sweet Simplici-tea, also in Sykesville.
Pat loved flowers and plants, which can be sent to Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 West Old Liberty Road, Winfield, Md 21784 by 2:00PM on Thursday so they can be taken to the church, or straight to the church. Alternately, donations can be sent in her name to either of her two favorite charities: Friends of Writers, P.O. Box 128, Marshfield VT, 05658, and Verner Center for Early Learning, 2586 Riceville Road, Asheville, NC 28805.
