Paul B. Embrey, 79 of Mt. Airy, MD Died Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the Dove House, Westminster.
He was born July 18, 1935 in New Market, MD Frederick County, he was the son of the late Teresa M. Bell Embrey and the late William M. Embrey. He is predeceased by wife Martha A. Mullinix Embrey. They were married 58 years upon her death in October of 2014. He graduated from Lisbon High School in 1956. He worked for the Dept of Navy at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Silver Spring, MD He retired in 1993 after 35 years of service. Other jobs included JI Case Company, Eyres Bus Service(Driving Buses) and NIH. He was a member of the Army National Guard early in the 1960’s. He was activated during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a Lifetime Member of Glenwood Lions Club where he served as Past President. A Member of Lisbon U.M. Church where he served on various committees. He was Cub Master of Pack 827 of Lisbon, Neighborhood Commissioner for Boy Scouts of America. He loved spending time with his family and friends. You could find him most mornings at McDonalds in Woodbine meeting friends for coffee and conversation. He loved to make his rounds around town. He was known as “Here comes Trouble”
Surviving him are three sons and their spouses; Richard S. Embrey and wife Beverly of Sheridan, Wyoming, Keith A. Embrey and wife Kay of Hagerstown, MD, Scott E. Embrey and wife Robyn of Woodbine, Grandchildren Ryan and wife Jennifer Embrey, Michael Embrey, Heather and Brian Miller, Justin and wife Jami Embrey, Amber and husband Barry Shatzer, Megan and Carrie Embrey; 10 great-grandchildren a brother-in-law Richard S. and wife Charlotte Mullinix, Sister-in-law Elmira Seibert and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by step sister Eileen Jenkins as well as daughter-in-law Kathy Embrey.
Friends may call Friday, January 30, 2015 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM with a Lions Club Memorial Service 7:15 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd.
