Pearl departed this life on August 22, 2013 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC.
She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church in Taylorsville, MD. She was employed in the past as an operator for the New York Telephone Company and as a Clerk for Royal Globe Insurance Company. The job she really enjoyed was that of a homemaker.
Her husband Waddell and her settled down in Columbia, SC where she lived out her days.
She leaves to cherish memory her loving husband Waddell T. Sims her Sons; Thomas Sims of Bronx, NY , Robert Sims of Jamaica, NY, Anthony Sims of Baltimore, MD, Richard Sims of New York, NY and her daughters Tanya Pittman of Rose Hill, NC and Cheryl Sims of Sunnyside, NY, a grandson Robert Sims, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY a granddaughter Patricia Sims of Brooklyn; Great-grandsons, Delante and Nigel . Sister Patricia M. Hutchins of Brooklyn, NY Sister-in-law Catherine A. Washington of Baltimore, MD. Son-in-law James Pittman of Rose Hill, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted at Fairview United Methodist Church, 3325 Old Liberty Rd. New Windsor, MD 21776 on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 11 :00 AM. Interment Fairview Cemetery. The Family will receive friends on Tuesday 5 to 7 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784
