It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to Penka Tchobanova, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Penka’s light and love touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a devoted mother to two daughters, a loving grandmother to five grandchildren, and a proud great-grandmother to one great-grandchild.
Penka was born on April 21, 1945, in Bulgaria, and in 1996, she made the journey to America to be with her daughters and help raise their children. Her unwavering love and selflessness defined her, and she was a constant source of support, care, and love to her family. Penka’s warm smile, gentle nature, and ability to make everyone feel welcome will be missed more than words can express.
A true animal lover at heart, Penka’s compassion extended beyond her family to the many animals she cared for throughout her life. We take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited in Heaven with her loved ones, both human and animal alike.
Penka passed away peacefully on November 18, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and grace. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her memory will be cherished forever. The family is grateful for the love, kindness, and support shown to Penka throughout her life and especially in her final days.
Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School) from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM.
