Phena Carroll

Phena Elaine Carroll (nee Taliaferro), age 80 of Sykesville, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2023 at the Dove House in Westminster.
She was born on May 8, 1943 in Ft. Worth, Texas to the late Jack Taliaferro and Ima Sue Taliaferro (nee Bearden). She was the loving wife of 59 years to Francis A. “Bud” Carroll. She was a 1961 graduate of L. D. Bell High School in Hurst, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Gail Harris.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Joel Brengle of Westminster, son, Steven Carroll of Manchester, four grandchildren, Tyler Brengle, Christina Geib, Brady Carroll, and Evan Carroll, and great grandchildren, Aubree, Ariel, Noah, David, and Zoe. Phena will always be remembered for her love of Jesus and her family. She loved spending time outside working on her flower beds, watching British comedies, and making quilts. Her enjoyment switched to playing solitaire on the computer when her health started to decline.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11am on October 10, 2023. A funeral service will follow at 11am at Westminster Baptist Church, 354 Crest Lane, Westminster, MD with Pastor Larry Steen officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Park.
