Philip R. Martin, age 76, of Sykesville, died Friday March 19, 2004, at Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster, MD.
He was born January 29, 1928 in Woodlawn, MD the son of the late Philip E. Martin and the late Viola Martin (nee Kauffus).
He was the Owner of Martin Excavating Contractor Company. He was an avid foxhunter; Airplane Enthusiasm, a former pilot and he enjoyed his grandkids.
He was the husband of Theresa A. Martin (nee Dyson) of Sykesville.
He was the father of Bud Martin of New Windsor, Joe Martin of Winfield, Barbara Carr of Winfield, Pamela Martin of Portsmouth, VA and the late Rick Martin.
He was the brother of Dora Lee Dawson of Fl., Jean Johnson of Fl., Ellen Black of Westminster and the late Lawrence Martin.
Loving grandfather of Joey, Elizabeth, Rachel and Nicholas.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday March 23, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. O.F. “Bud” Kibbe officiating.
Interment Lake View Memorial Park
