Ralph Leo “Skee” Cavaliere, 85, formerly of Little Italy, Baltimore, MD, Woodbine, MD and Augusta, GA passed away on Friday, July12, 2024
He was born July 31, 1938 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Anthony Cavaliere and the late Stella Cavaliere (nee Mezzanotte)
He was the beloved husband of 50 years to the late Mary Ellen Cavaliere (nee Bertorelli) and devoted father who raised three boys while building his dream hobby farm in the country.
Ralph was a devoted parishioner of St. Leo’s the Great Roman Catholic Church where he also served as alter boy. He was a student of St. Leo’s Catholic School, attended Mount St. Joseph High, and then graduated from Mervo High School in Baltimore. During his school days, he competed in track, discus throwing and basketball.
After graduation, Ralph joined the Army National Guard while beginning his career in the architectural/drafting field with various local firms. His career excelled at Bechtel where his team was among the first to use and develop the first CAD systems in which he applied to the design of various projects in the world.
He loved traveling, snow skiing, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, painting, collecting coins, and searching for fossils and gemstones to make jewelry and treasure pieces. He was a proud member of Post #71 of the American Legion in North Augusta.
He is survived by his sons Mark David Cavaliere, Ralph Christopher Cavaliere and Michael Anthony (Kim) Cavaliere, Grandsons Shane Bryant (Darleta) Cavaliere and Peter Anthony Cavaliere; Sister Sharon (Sergio) Casalena, Great-granddaughter Ava Lucia, and Nieces and & Nephew Karli, Kourtney, Tony and Candy.
He is preceded in death by his Brother Richard (Cher) Cavaliere.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Sykesville, MD 21784 (beside South Carroll High School), where a Catholic Prayer service will take place Friday, July 19, 2024 10 AM
Interment Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
