Ralph Condon

Ralph DeWitt Condon, 90 of Woodbine, MD, died Friday, March 14, 2008 at Carroll Lutheran Village Health Care Center. He was the spouse of Freda Elaine Baile Condon. He was born January 29, 1918 in Woodbine, MD the son of the late George W. Condon and the late Carrie Mae Bloom Condon. Mr. Condon had his own farm for 8 years. He was a Pole Lineman for M.F. Arrington and Sons and later worked as a Pole Lineman and Electrician for Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab before retiring in 1983. He was a veteran of the United States Army, A Member of American Legion Post #31 Westminster, MD , A member of Mt. Olive United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, old movies, country music and spending time with his little Angels. Surviving in addition to his wife are Daughter and son-in-law Linda and Raymond Conaway of Westminster, Daughter Alice Scott of Woodbine. Grandsons and wives Ryan and Jennifer Conaway, Brant and Heidi Conaway. Great-granddaughters Lauren and Meghan Conaway and great-grandson Austin Conaway. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, devoted friends and family. Preceded in death by Brother Arthur Condon and Sisters Dorothy Arrington and Thelma Jenkins. Funeral Services will be held on Monday March 17, 2008 10 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the Rev. Arthur Monroe officiating. Interment will be in Morgan Chapel Cemetery, Woodbine, MD. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Morgan Chapel Cemetery, 1929 Gillis Falls Rd. Woodbine, MD 21797 or Mt. Olive UMC 3425 Ridge Rd. Westminster, MD 21157.
