Raymond F. Ritter, age 87, of Woodlawn, died Monday, February 8, 2016 at Summit Park Health & Rehab Center in Catonsville, Maryland.
He was born September 27, 1928 in Woodlawn, MD the son of the late Lawrence T. Ritter and the late Naomi C. Ritter (nee Little).
He was the husband of Helen E. Ritter (nee Marr) for 65 years.
He was the father of Stephen and wife Doris, Janice Ring and husband John, and Timothy and wife Ruth.
Brother of the late May Ludwig (nee Ritter).
He was known as “Pop-pop” to 10 grandchildren and “Pop-pop Joy” to 7 Great-grandchildren.
Mr. Ritter worked for several contractors throughout his career in the building industry and left his mark on many buildings throughout the region.
He was a faithful member of the Arlington Baptist Church for 56 years and taught Sunday School for many of those years. Among his other areas of service, he oversaw the building program for the Arlington Baptist Church, School, Apartments and Nursing Home.
Friends may call at the Arlington Baptist Church, 3030 N. Rolling Road, Baltimore, MD 21244 on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM and Friday from 9-10AM; Funeral service will be held Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10:00AM.
