Raymond Shipley

Raymond David Shipley, age 63, of Thurmont, died Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, MD. He was born January 7, 1948 in Frederick County, Mt. Airy, MD, the son of the late Stuart Howard Shipley and the late Annie Florene Shipley (nee Schellar). He was a dairy farmer. He enjoyed playing baseball when he was younger and also enjoyed watching baseball. He was the brother of Robert Shipley of Keymar, Kenneth Shipley of Thurmont and the late Millard S. Shipley and the late Edna F. Shipley. He was the uncle of William Shipley of Thurmont; and survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and sister in law Elizabeth M. Shipley (nee Dewell) of Eldersburg. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA with the Rev. Larry M. Plymire of St. James U.M. Church in Dennings officiating. Interment St. James U.M. Church Cemetery, Dennings, MD.
