Raymond Russell Slick, Sr., 77 of Mt. Airy.
Born March 17, 1938 went to be with his loving wife Mabel Slick on November 2, 2016.
He was the son of the late Bertie (Sirk) and late Emerson Slick.
He loved to play Bingo and help out whenever he could on the mud racing truck. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of Damascus Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Mr. Slick had worked for Jones of Damascus Plumbing and Heating and later on for Van Sant. He loved his children and grandchildren very much. He leaves behind two children Raymond Slick, Jr. and wife Sherry and Johnna Fritz and husband Randy, five grandchildren: Kenneth, Emerson, Raymond III, Kelsey and Cody Slick, He also leaves behind many great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters Elsie Brashear, Ethel Dull and Sarah Catron. Preceded in death by his daughter Catherine Slick.
The Family will receive friends on Thursday 7 to 9 PM a t BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A, 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784(beside S. Carroll High), where funeral services will be held Friday November 11, 2016 11 AM. Interment True Gospel Cemetery, Lisbon.
