Rebecca Woodfield

Rebecca B. Woodfield (nee Boone), age 80, of Mt. Airy, died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Carroll Hospice-Dove House in Westminster, MD. She was born July 24, 1930 in Frederick, MD the daughter of the late Sterling Monroe Boone and the late Mary Frances Stitley Boone. She was the wife of Joseph Vincent Woodfield of Mt. Airy. She was a retired nurse. She received her nursing certification from Frederick Memorial Hospital School of nursing. She was a member of the American Legion Mt. Airy Gold Post 191 Ladies auxiliary. She graduated from Mt. Airy High School. She enjoyed knitting and sewing and caring for other people and volunteering her time. Mother of Janet Woodfield of Mt. Airy. Sister of Kenneth Boone of Mt. Airy and Nancy Hammond of Mt. Airy. Grandmother of Kelli Oden and husband Joseph and Joseph Kipe. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Private interment.
