Rev. Harold W. Brittingham, Jr., 74 of Westminster, died peacefully at Shepherd’s Glen Assisted Living in Taneytown, on Friday, January 12, 2018, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
He was born June 18, 1943 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Harold W. Brittingham, Sr. and Dorothy V. Brittingham (nee Thomas). He worked for the Federal Government for 42 years, retiring from the Social Security Administration in April of 2003. He served in the U. S. Army Reserves from 1966 to 1974.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judith L. Brittingham (nee Wagner), son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Kevin D. Brittingham and Beth J. Brittingham, grandchildren, Justin and Sydney Brittingham, and step-grandchildren, Will and Savannah Rowe. Also survived by his sister, Darlene E. Yost of Glen Burnie and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his first wife, Patricia A. Brittingham (nee Bigalke) and brother-in-law Donald A. Yost.
Friends may call at Arlington Baptist Church, 3030 North Rolling Rd. Baltimore, MD 21244 on Friday, January 19, 2-4 and 6-8 PM and Saturday January 20, from 10-11 AM at which time the Funeral will begin at the church with Rev. Tim Leaman officiating.
