Richard Downing Ferris III, age 65, of Mt. Airy, MD, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Carroll Hospice, Inc., Dove House in Westminster, MD.
He was born December 17, 1947 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Richard Downing Ferris, Jr., and the late Nettie Elizabeth Ferris (nee Kolpack).
He was the husband of Patricia L. Ferris (nee Gallagher)
He was a Superintendent for Cherry Hill Construction Company. He was a golfer. He served in the US Air Force.
He was the father of Marydith Jean Ferris of Denver, Colorado and the late Richard Downing Ferris IV.
Grandfather of Rebecca Christine Ferris.
Brother of Steven Ferris and Wife Nancy of Laurel, MD, Robert Ferris and wife Bonnie of Glen Burnie and Linda Alexander of Glen Burnie.
Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Private interment.
