Richard M. Hoffman, Sr., age 66, of Ellicott City, MD, died Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Howard County General Hospital, Columbia, MD.
He was born February 13, 1947 in Baltimore City, MD the son of the late Charles R. Hoffman, Sr. and the late Harriett Louise Liedlich Hoffman.
He was a Supervisor purchasing agent for CSX Railroad; he loved to collect 50’s, oldies and Baltimore Music. He was an avid Baltimore Sports fans, Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Colts and Ravens.
He served in the US Army
He was the beloved husband of- Joan M. Hoffman (nee Horn).
He was the devoted father of Richard M. Hoffman, Jr. and his wife Alayna.
Loving Grandfather of Fox, Autumn and Abigail Hoffman.
Also survived by 7 sisters, 3 brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville (Beside South Carroll High School) on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM; where funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 10:00 AM.
Interment with Military Honors will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville, MD.
