Richard Lanning

Richard E. “Dick” Lanning, age 68, of Woodbine for 22 years, formerly of Millersville , MD ,died Wednesday May 10, 2006 at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson , MD. He was born June 16, 1937 in Spencer , New York , the son of the late Charles Lanning and Luella Lanning Thomas (nee Fish). He was the husband of Maureen B. Lanning (nee Brosh). He was a truck driver for Potts & Callahan Inc. for 43 years. He attended St. Michael’s R.C. Church in Poplar Springs. He was in the US Army 1959-1963. He was the father of Laura L. Stewart and Steve of Capon Bridge, West Virginia. Brother of Paul Lanning of Spencer, NY, Don Lanning of Texas, Alice Thayer of Spencer, NY and Dave Lanning of Spencer, NY. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Catholic Prayers will be held Tuesday May 16, 2006 at 10:30 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road , Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with Fr. Michael J. Ruane of St. Michaels R.C. Church in Poplar Springs officiating. Interment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park , Glen Burnie , MD. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA on Monday 7-9 PM.
