Richard B. Martin, 69, of Woodbine, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025. Born on October 17, 1955 in Montgomery County, he was the son of the late William B. Martin and the late Phyllis Martin (née Burton).
Richard grew up working on his family’s dairy farm, where he developed a deep appreciation for hard work. He had a passion for working with his hands—whether it was fixing cars, tinkering with machinery, or splitting his own firewood, he found joy in building and repairing things. He carried this dedication into his career, owning and operating 4-County Print Shop before retiring from Springfield Hospital Center.
A devoted husband and father, Richard is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathryn Martin, and his children, Bryan Martin, Rachael Martin (& Ryan Hudson), and Maria Martin. He is also survived by many relatives. He was predeceased by his parents and his beloved son, Richard B. Martin Jr.
Richard was a longtime member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Poplar Spring, MD, where his faith was an important part of his life.
His legacy is one of hard work, dedication, and love for the simple pleasures of life. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
