Richard S. Mullinix, 89 of Hanover, PA formerly of Woodbine, MD
Passed Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the Dove House in Westminster, MD He was born February 19, 1933 in Daisy, MD the son of the late Spencer J. Mullinix and Elizabeth E. (Poole) Mullinix. He was the husband of Charlotte A. (Smith) Mullinix for 68 + years. Richard was employed at the Glenn L. Martin CO. in Middle River, MD. Later he was employed at the Naval Ordinance Lab, White Oak, MD, retiring after 35 years on January 3, 1994. Raised in the Lisbon United Methodist Church, Lisbon, MD where he served as a Trustee for 60 yrs., sang in the choir 47 yrs. He was a six term Master of Prudence Lodge #190 A.F. & A.M. in Mt. Airy, MD., a Plural member of Lebanon Lodge #175 A.F. & A.M. of Manchester, MD., a Member of the York Rite, Frederick, MD and Grand Inspector for the Grand Lodge of MD. Mr. Mullinix was Past President of MD School for the Deaf Board of Visitors, Frederick, MD and an active member of Grace United Methodist Church of Hanover, PA.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter Charlene (Larry) Anderson of Monrovia, and son Brian (Carol) Mullinix of Frederick, MD and five grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Friends may call Monday, March 14, 2022, 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM with a Masonic Memorial Service commencing, 6:30 PM , at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Sykesville, MD (beside S. Carroll High). Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022, 11 AM with the family receiving friends one hour prior at LISBON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 15875 Frederick Rd. Lisbon, MD with Rev. Todd Christine and T.J. Mount officiating. Interment in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville, MD. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Lisbon United Methodist Church, PO Box 51, Lisbon, Md 21765 or Grace United Methodist Church, 55 Albright Dr., Hanover, PA 17331.
