Richard Arvin Wright, 86 of New Windsor, MD passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
He was the beloved husband of Beatrice Irene Wright (nee Burdette).
Richard was born February 14, 1937, in Oak Orchard of Frederick, MD the son of the late Albert B. Wright and the late Virginia Wright (nee Barnes).
He worked for Miller & Long Construction where he enjoyed building things and sharping saw blades. Richard was a member of the National Guard and Taylorsville United Methodist Church, of Taylorsville, MD.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Richard Dale Wright, Brian Wright, and Dwayne Wright; brother Hearl Wright and sister June Pipes; grandchildren Brianna Wright, Kaden Wright, Wyatt Wright, Tristan Wright, Logan Wright, Julian Wright, Paysen Wright, Arielle Wright and Brielle Wright.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 29, 2024, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School); where funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 11 AM.
Interment to follow at Taylorsville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
