He was born February 27, 1945 in Taylorsville, MD the son of the late Riley T. Gartrell and Late Arta F. Gartrell
He worked in construction until his retirement. Hobbies included Toy tractors, farm machinery and gardening.
Surviving him are Sisters Betty and husband Joe Boone of Taylorsville, Patricia Gallucci of Frederick and Vanessa G Chrisafis of Frederick, Brother Ashley and wife Melissa Gartrell of Union Bridge.
Also survived by numerous niece, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, Aunts and an Uncle.
Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, April 4, 2013 10 AM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 Interment Bethany Cemetery, New Windsor, MD
The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday 6 to 8 PM.
