Robert Davis

Robert M. Davis, Jr., 79 of Westminster, MD passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2017 at Lorien of Taneytown.
Mr. Davis was born March 16, 1938, the son of the late Robert M. Davis, Sr. and the late Beatrice E. (nee Wiseman) Davis.
He was the beloved husband of Joyce L. Davis (nee Evans) for 60 years.
Robert graduated in 1956 from Catonsville High School and then attended evening classes at Johns Hopkins University. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He worked for Westinghouse Electric Corp. and the U.S. Government. Mr. Davis was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Taylorsville-Winfield Lions Club, Carroll County Choral Society, Beechfield Civic Assoc. and Ebenezer Church Trustees President and member.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his two sons Steve and wife Joanne Davis of Mt. Airy, Gary and wife Patti Davis of Westminster. He is also survived by his granddaughters Julie Davis of New Market, Heidi Davis of Baltimore, Emily Davis of Westminster and his late grandson Jordan Davis.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 6-8 PM with a Taylorsville-Winfield Lions Club Memorial service at 7:30 PM, at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 (beside South Carroll High School).
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Judith A. Emerson officiating at Ebenezer United Methodist Church 4901 Woodbine Road, Sykesville, MD 21784.
Interment to follow at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church Building Fund, or the Be Like Jordy Fund c/o Westminster Church of the Brethren.
