Died Friday February 8, 2013 at his home beside his wife, Samaria Lee Poe Jaharias of nearly 65 years
He was born March 9, 1929 in Frederick, MD the son of the late George Jaharias and the late Edith Jacobs Jaharias. He was an Installation Supervisor for Western Electric/ AT & T Technology for nearly 40 years.
Robert was very active in his church for 40 years holding every position of Leadership during these years, including filling in for the Pastor. He was an avid gardener with an immaculate yard. He and his wife Samaria loved RVing across America and spending weeks in Florida during the winter, He enjoyed restoring antique phones from the early 1900’s and had restored a 17 room farm house. He was always proud to drive his antique cars in parades. Most importantly besides his 3 children he dearly loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are Children: Beth Jaharias Zinkland of Perry Hall, Roben Jaharias Sanders and husband Donald Sanders of Sykesville, George Jay Jaharias and wife Wilma Campbell Jaharias of Farmersville TX. Grandchildren: Adam Donald Sanders and wife Lauren Nichole Sanders, Kristen Tyler Jaharias, Master at Arms Petty Officer 3rd Class USN and Jacob Heath Jaharias
Funeral Services will be held Tues, February 12, 2012 10 AM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with Pastor Judy Emerson of Ebenezer UMC officiating. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, MD.
