Robert “Gus” Eugene Lamb, age 79 of Woodbine, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at his home.
He was born September 26, 1935, in Carroll County, MD the son of the late William Romaine Lamb and the late Daisy Ruth (nee Hatfield) Lamb.
Mr. Lamb was a carpenter for Frank Dertzbaugh Construction. He enjoyed woodworking and birdwatching. Loved his cat Thomas and Dogs Rocky & Buster.
He is survived by his daughters Irma & husband David Johnson of Woodbine and Karen & husband Ricky Colson, Sr. of Woodbine. Also survived by his sister Betty Lou Lamb Davis of Mt. Airy, Ruth Ann Lamb Cantwell of Woodbine, and sister-in-law Lillian Virginia Lamb of Sykesville. Grandchildren Jamie Bowman, Ricky Lee Colson, Jr., Robert Leroy Colson, Bradley Thomas Colson and Brittany Nicole Colson. Great grandchildren Abigail Lynn Crook, Skylar James Bowman, Bryce Barnes, Brooklyn Nicole Colson, Carman Leigh Colson, Ryan Lee Colson, Cadence Taylor, Kaylee Lynn and Jake Ryan.
He was predeceased by his sister Martha Jane Lamb, and his brother Othie Romaine Lamb.
Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) on Saturday and Sunday May 30th and 31st 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will held Monday, June 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Poplar Springs Cemetery, Mt. Airy, MD.
