Died on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Northwest Hospital Center.
Beloved husband of the late Iona Byron (Davis) Matthews. Mr. Matthews was born February 2, 1931 in
Woodstock, MD the son of the late Robert M. Matthews and late Dorothy Smallwood .
Bob was retired from JC Penny Al Stromberg, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of St. Alphonsus Knights of Columbus 13291. Also, retired from Loyola High School as a Librarian. He worked at Woodstock and St. Mary Seminary as a Librarian.

The family will receive friends on Sunday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 24, 2016 10 AM at St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Church 10800 Old Ct. Rd. Woodstock, MD 21163. Interment to follow in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
