Robert “Bob” Smolar, 72 of Sykesville, MD passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017.
Bob was the companion of Carolyn Mae Davis for 38 years.
Bob was born September 9, 1945 in Holton, Maine, the son of the late Florence and Anton Smolar.
Bob was also preceded in death by his brother Ronald Smolar.
He served in the United States Navy and was a volunteer Fire Fighter at Woodland Beach Fire Department.
Bob is survived by his step-daughter Carolann Harris, step son Billy Davis & wife Cheryle and step daughter Phyllis Davis and husband Wayne Lascola. Loving grandfather to Amanda Phillip & husband Kyle, David Harris, Jason Davis & fiancé Sarah Gaona, Cheyenne Davis, Ryan Davis & wife Kaitlyn, Kelly McNeal & husband Ryan, Sara Taylor, and Cheyanne Lascola. Loving great-grandfather to Kenzie Rae, Wyatt, Kaylyn, Emily, Charleyann, Maggie, MacKenzie, Braden, and Lilliana. Also survived by his brothers Wayne Smolar & Glenn Smolar, and sister Debra Grenier. Bob is survived by his nephews Wayne & Matt and a niece Stacy
Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Winfield, MD 21784 (beside South Carroll High School) from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at which time the funeral service will begin.
Interment to follow at Lake View Memorial Park.
