Robin Monroe Gaardsmoe, age 82, of Woodbine, died Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Montgomery County General Hospital, Olney, MD.
He was born October 6, 1931 in Washington, DC, the son of the late Edgar Rudolph Gaardsmoe and the late Marjorie Monroe Gaardsmoe.
He was the husband of Judith Ryan Gaardsmoe.
He was an Electronics Engineer for BAE Systems. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and he was a Ham radio operator during the Vietnam War. He loved making Shell Flower arrangements, making homemade Jams and pickles and enjoyed gardening.
He was the devoted father of Kimberly Darling and husband Lew and Cary Gaardsmoe and wife Megan, loving grandfather of Alison, Kelly, Sarah and David and great grandson Carter.
