Rodney Neil Hidey, age 46 of Westminister, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at his home.
He was born April 23, 1967 in Baltimore, Md the son of John Walter Hidey Sr. and Ann Norwood Hidey.
He was the husband of Linda L. Hidey (nee Smith).
He was the Owner and President of Hidey's Landscape Supply Yard and has been in business since 1988. He was grateful for the dedicated staff that worked with him and for the very loyal customers that he served over the many years in business. He loved spending quality time with his family and friends at Deep Creek Lake enjoying water sports and campfires. Other special times were spent four wheeling with his children, traveling across the country with his family, and snow skiing. He actively attended LifePoint Church.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children Olivia, Neil and Gabriel Hidey, brother and sisters Jane Hidey, Nancy Kelly, Judy Longmire, John Hidey and Robin Elza; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be held, Monday, June 24, 2013 at LifePoint Church, 1701 Emory Road, Reisterstown, Md 21136 from 5:00-7:00 PM, with a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00PM with Pastor Dave Baldwin officiating, Private Interment, In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Autism Speaks, 1060 State Rd, 2nd Floor, Princeton, NJ 08540 or autismspeaks.org.
