Roger Goshen
August 16, 1954 — April 16, 2018
Roger Lee Goshen age 63 of Eldersburg Maryland passed peacefully on Monday, April 16, 2018, at 1:45 in the afternoon, after losing his battle with lung cancer. He was surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones.
Roger was born August 16, 1954 to Aubrey “Red” (83) and Doris Jean Goshen, he was the fifth of their eleven children. Brother to David, Mike, Craig (wife Kathy), Jeff (wife Debbie), Bradley, Mark, Dennis, Karen (26), Lisa (husband Frank), and Chris. Uncle to 10 nephews (3 niece in laws) and 16 nieces (8 nephew in laws). He was the loving father to Ryan and Hannah. On September 24, 1988 Roger married the love of his life Patty.
Roger spent his life living in the state of Maryland where he was employed by Coca-Cola for 45 years. He enjoyed his work as a driver supervisor and working for a company where he made many lasting friendships. In his free time he would be involved with many activities and hobbies including hunting at the land, annual trips to the Outer Banks, reading the papers and funnies every Sunday, listening to oldies, going to car shows, working out at Athens Health Club, walking around the neighborhood to chat with neighbors, and most importantly spending time joking with his enormous family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 21, 2018 10am - 12 pm, with Funeral Services 12 noon, officiating Chaplain Kirk Rookwood, at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A.,(beside S.. Carroll High) 1212 w. Old Liberty Rd Winfield, MD 21784. A Celebration of Life to follow at the Goshen family home.
